Imagine Music Teacher Since 2016
In-home(NW/SW) & Studio (Cap. Hill)
At the age of three, Jasmin began piano and then joined Imagine Music Inc. in 2007 at the age of nine. Her ambition to expand her musical knowledge prompted her to learn the flute and guitar as well! Jasmin played clarinet for 3 ½ years in a school band and sang in the school choir for 6 years. Her talent and musicality secured Jasmin a teacher position with Imagine Music in 2016. Jasmin completed her Grade 9 Conservatory Canada Piano receiving First Class Honours with Distinction.
While continuing to study piano with Imagine Music Mentors, Jasmin plays the piano and sings in her church choir on a weekly basis. Recently she has been promoted to choir director. In an effort to give back to the community, she occasionally plays piano at the McCaig Tower in the Foothills Hospital, a place close to her heart. As both a teacher and a student with Imagine Music, Jasmin has also participated in numerous piano recitals over the years.
Jasmin’s Music Approach to Teaching:
Music is another language in which to express yourself! Jasmin teaches the skills it takes for her piano students to be able to express themselves through music. Being able to play across many different music genres is what makes you a well-rounded musician. Jasmin believes it is important for students to be exposed to the many different and diverse genres of music in order to have a better understanding of what it takes to be a versatile piano player. Music should be a source of enjoyment. Jasmin encourages students to have fun as they learn more about the piano and expand their musical knowledge.
