In-home Lessons (SE)
Peter is our best drum and guitar teacher who is also an accomplished freelance singer/musician. He also teaches lessons in all styles percussion and piano.
He began singing in public at age six, taking piano lessons drums and percussion lessons. By twelve, he was playing the drums professionally (and singing) in and around his home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a teen, he worked as a drummer all during his school years playing with various trios & quartets performing various styles of music including Rock, Pop, Country, Blues & a little Jazz & Big Band.
Peter has accompanied Canadian Country Music Association’s inductee Ray Griff and has opened for many Canadian Rock and Country Bands such as April Wine, Kim Mitchell, Julian Austin, Jo-Hikk and more!
Using a very “hands-on” practical approach to drum and percussion techniques, Peter also uses the Nashville Number System. Peter also incorporates written musical theory with practical applications into his drum lessons.
Peter’s Approach to Teaching:
- Tailors drum lessons or guitar lessons to each individuals wants and needs.
- Combines written theory with practical application (using the eyes as well as the ears).
- Teaches through the use of hard copy, audio and video aides.
- Makes each music lesson fun for both the student and the teacher.
Peter is an amazing teacher. My kids have learned so much from him.
I am LOVING this 😊. I’m sure if someone was to sneak downstairs while I’m playing (practicing) to my favourite tunes…they’d see me there with a huge smile. Peter is a great teacher and I’m enjoying learning.
We love Peter & think he is the greatest! Peter is so very kind and patient.
Peter is amazing. I have a friend and I am so pleased our lives crossed.
I was excited and nervous from the moment we started. I knew this was going to be a BLAST!!! No pressure. Not complicated. Just fun and totally doable! I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to doing homework… I look forward to it now! I’m not a student…starting later in life can be a bit intimidating…I’m so glad I’m doing this with Peter.
