Abbey was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta where she took voice and piano lessons starting when she was 11 years old. She received her Bachelor of Music Vocal Performance degree from the prestigious Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in 2011. Through her studies, she has performed in a variety of opera and musical theater roles with the Janiec Opera Company in North Carolina.
In 2015, she received her Masters of Music Vocal Performance Degree from Indiana University. Since then, she has taught private voice and piano lessons at studios in the Calgary area and performed with the Calgary Opera both as a lead and chorus member. She has her Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 8 Piano and RCM Grade 10 Voice as well as the accompanying theory requirements.
Abbey is in her final year of a Bachelor of Education program at Ambrose University. In her free time, Abbey likes to hike, knit, run, ski, and learn new things.
